smallworld soccer officially has its name on a Lower League eCup competition!
We’re sponsoring the eCup’s brand-new second division, and we couldn’t be more excited. Read the official statement below for more details:
Thursday, November 12 – smallworld soccer is proud to announce its naming rights to the Lower League eCup’s Second Division competition. The tournament will officially be known as the smallworld Second Division for the 2021 season.
“It’s always exciting to get more eyes on your brand and let more people discover who you are and what you’re up to,” said Danny, founder of smallworld soccer. “When you can do that by partnering with an organization you believe in and a guy as fantastic as Joe, it’s really a perfect partnership,” Danny added.
smallworld soccer is dedicated to serving the deserving in lower-league soccer, covering American soccer from grassroots local leagues up to 3rd tier professional leagues like NISA and USL League One. smallworld celebrated its one-year anniversary in August 2020 and has consistently published unique, supportive content that grows lower-league clubs and gives them more attention.
“Both these two organizations are around for the same reason: to lift lower-league clubs up and make this community better,” Danny said. “That’s exactly why we’re partnering and why I’m so excited to see what comes out of it.”
The Lower League eCup is a FIFA series esports cup-style tournament designed for the lower-league soccer community. This winter marks its second season as a competition after starting last summer in a bid to keep soccer clubs and fans engaged. The eCup featured over 100 clubs and supporter’s groups and has been covered on two episodes of smallworld soccer report, smallworld’s soccer’s official podcast, as well as on five blog posts and one “Bracketology” prediction show.
